Auditions (Calgary): Digital Audio Theatre Experience – Jupiter Theatre

ABOUT THE PROJECT

(EXP)LORE is the first installment in Jupiter Theatre’s new Digital Audio Theatre Experience, a podcast to be enjoyed in the community while social distancing. This anthology of site-specific stories will take an imaginative dive into the past and future of chosen locations across Calgary’s inner city.

We are seeking performers to voice the characters in first episodes of this new audio theatre project. Jupiter Theatre encourages submissions from diverse artists of all backgrounds, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are seeking performers of various ages, genders, and voice types for this project. We are also specifically seeking non-binary performers and female-identifying, femme, and/or female-presenting Filipinx and Chinese performers for this project. No previous voice acting experience is needed to submit.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Rehearsal and recording for this first call out will take place between August 3rd and September 12th, 2020.
  • You do not need to be available for the entire period to be cast, each episode of the series will be cast, rehearsed, and recorded on independent schedules. Given current public health guidelines, we anticipate rehearsals will be done online, but this is subject to change.
