What’s Online (Edmonton): Found Festival 2020

Found Festival, Edmonton’s only found space arts festival, will look a whole lot different this year. There will be no Found Grounds, no beer garden, no immediate way for us to gather as pals and artists and community. But you better believe we’re reinventing how artistic exchange happens when we can’t gather together.

Our buttons are burst: we are proud to deliver 14 bold digital and distanced projects brought to you by more than 40 wildly inventive multidisciplinary artists.

We’ve completely reimagined the Festival experience to ensure the health and safety of our patrons, artists, volunteers and staff,” says co-Festival Director Beth Dart. “Found Festival can be experienced from the comfort of your own home, at your own pace in the Old Strathcona neighbourhood, or from a safe distance. And, we’ve partnered with Story City to deliver a series of geo-located artistic adventures so folks can get out on their own and still explore art in unexpected places!”

Let’s get wired and weird.

Found Festival is powered by Common Ground Arts Society, a tiny but mighty arts org getting it done on passion & grit.

Most events are by donation! Some events are ticketed! It’s darn important to us that Found Festival remains accessible for as many Foundsters in our community as possible. That includes making almost all events Offer What you Will. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
