We’d like to invite you to submit to Quarantine Stories, a virtual short film festival designed to award cash prizes (up to $1500!) to Canadian creatives who demonstrate excellence in storytelling while adhering to the constraints of social distancing.

Canada’s creatives have been hit hard by shelter-in-place restrictions — none more so than it’s theatre community. With Quarantine Stories, we want theatre enthusiasts across Canada to know that, even though performance spaces are closed, they still have a platform to share the stories they want to tell.
Accordingly, we’ve removed all barriers to entry. There are no submission fees and no minimum skill requirements. Create a film that’s 5 minutes (or shorter) using whatever equipment you have on hand and your creativity.
The deadline for submissions is May 20th at 11:59 pm (PST). After submissions close, Canadians will vote on their favourites, five of which will be screened at a live-event on May 29th at 6:00 pm (PST).
If you have any questions about the festival, feel free to email us at: info@quarantinestories.ca
