Classes will be devoted to Shakespeare monologues and soliloquys. Together we will explore personal connection, the actor/audience relationship, balancing thought and emotion in performance and invigorating the creative imagination in order to reveal character psychology and balance Shakespeare’s intentions with your unique connection to the text.
Take this course if you:
•Want to access a more authentic personal connection to character development
•Want to deepen your understanding of how to approach heightened text
•Want to explore new ways of accessing imagery and emotional connection in your work
•Want to dive into some new text (or old text in new ways!) because you love Shakespeare
•Want to find the Shakespearean monologue that really showcases your unique gifts and abilities
•Want to explore working on material outside of your usual wheelhouse
•Want to know an audition ready Shakespeare piece (or two!) in your artistic arsenal
Space is limited in order to ensure each participant receives personal attention and the most rewarding experience possible.
All participants must 18 or older.
