Workshop Theatre Presents: THE KIDS CUSHION CABARET, “Not So ‘Grimm’ Fairytales”

Brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, lead the audience through three of their stories, sometimes narrating and sometimes taking on a role. They will share, ‘Rumpelstiltskin’, ‘Hansel and Gretel’, and one of their lesser known tales, ‘The Goose Girl at the Spring’.

Performed at 4 different locations between Airdrie & Calgary:

Doors will open 15 minutes prior to each performance start time.

Workshop Theatre Kids’ Cushion Cabaret is a new initiative for the 50th season, aimed at introducing young children to theatre. Children three years old and up, and their families are invited to bring their cushions and become the audience as they are entertained by short, high energy plays, story theatre and song. We guarantee an hour of laughs, good stories, giggles, audience participation, and lots of fun.
Children can bring their favourite cushion or pillow from home and sit up close to the actors on the floor. Parents can join them or sit behind their children on chairs. There will be special Cabaret cushions for rent if you forget yours.

Nut free snacks will be available for purchase – cookies, popcorn, juice, water, and of course, coffee for the adults! Concession will accept cash only.

As the oldest community theatre group in town, we are committed to giving young children their first taste of theatre!

Please note there are no ATM’s on site at any of the 4 locations. Concession purchases will be cash only!
