Job (Calgary): Office Assistants for Summer Theatre School – StoryBook Theatre


StoryBook Theatre is currently accepting applications for office assistants for our summer theatre school programming and 2019/20 Season preparation. Office Assistants will have the opportunity to get behind the scenes of an operating theatre and support in administration-related tasks. You will assist on a variety projects such as digital filing and social media management, to administration support such as preparing scripts and scores, to supervising students over lunch hours, to exposure to selling tickets to our loyal patrons.

Office Assistants will work closely with Theatre School instructors and teaching assistants and report directly to the Theatre School Administrator.

Contract Period: May 1 to August 22
Operating Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Post-secondary education in arts administration is considered an asset
  • Previous experience working in a theatre
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Advanced Online skills using software applications such as Dropbox, Trello, Facebook, and Twitter
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suites is considered an asset
  • Experience working with children
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Must work well in a team setting
  • Basic first aid is an asset
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check
