Visionary Centre for Performing Arts is hiring an acting and musical theatre teacher for the AMTI program. Successful candidate should be able to train students in interpretation of skills, speech, movement and dramatic theory. Prepare acting and musical theatre students for specific auditions and performances. Manage timetables and assessment schedules. Direct and musically direct performances.
Full time (30 hours per week), permanent position.
$35 per hour
Required skills:
- Must be able to teach acting, singing and voice.
- Must be a highly skilled pianist, fluent sight reader and accompanist.
- Must have at least 5 years experience as a performer
- Must have at least 5 years experience as a teacher
Preferred skills:
It is preferred that the successful candidate will have contacts within the Alberta theatre industry.
BA degree or other training qualification in theatre/acting
