Mockus is a thrilling tale based on true events of a mayor desperate to save his city and the clown who inspires him through a world of imagination. The clown’s antics, and his success, provoke fear and jealousy. Will they survive, armed only with laughter and love? Featuring spectacular acrobatics and exhilarating music and dance, Mockus will transport you to the sublime world of the three-ring circus.
This premiere production is being performed from March 26th to April 4th, 2020 at the West Village Theatre in Calgary, Alberta and is being produced by Jupiter Theatre.
This show is fun and full of circus arts and dance! It’s a poignant, silly, and important story for our times and has a high-energy cast of performers and a talented artistic and design team. This is Jupiter Theatre’s largest production to date and we need your help to make it happen.
Mockus is a very large project. It’s the most ambitious production we’ve attempted to date and we want to do the performances justice. We’ve been doing our best to raise money, apply for grants and seek out sponsors, but we still need more help! And that is where you come in.
