What’s On (Edmonton): Equity Diversity & Inclusion Conversation

APN is hosting an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion Conversation in Edmonton– November 9th, 2019 – in which we hope to engage equity-seeking members and other playwrights in a dialogue. The purpose of the sessions is to educate APN about the issues affecting diverse creators of theatre. We want to have a conversation about:

  • What ways you would like to be supported as a creator of theatre?
  • What barriers or challenges do you experience in accessing those supports that might be related to how you identify?
  • Related to the above, what kind of relationship with APN would be beneficial for you?
  • What can APN do to help?

APN will use the feedback from these sessions to inform how we might improve our services to all members and initiate new collaborations with diverse artists that are open, welcoming, and mutually fulfilling.

The conversation will take place on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at 7pm (The Playhouse – 10033 – 80th Avenue NW).

Space for the event is limited to 12 people in order to create a manageable and meaningful conversation. Participants will provided a small honorarium for their time.

Please RSVP for the Edmonton event to – [email protected]
