Central Alberta Theatre is seeking two male actors for our upcoming dinner theatre play, WILLOW QUARTET, by Joan Burrows.
Synopsis – In the aftermath of a tragedy, Kim moves back in to her childhood home, the quiet farm where she grew up. Here she invites Jim, a visiting musician, to stay in a spare room on the farm – much to the chagrin of Marjorie, her sharp-witted mother, and Ben, her ex-husband. It’s not long before Kim is infatuated with Jim’s sophistication and charm, as he offers her the chance to love and laugh again in a story of choices, consequences and forgiveness.
Characters:
BEN WALTERS (40s) – a loving father and husband, Ben Walters earns a living as a mechanic. Intelligent and compassionate, he harbours an inner conflict of fear and anger. Enjoys classic rock, but can also handle a kazoo.
