The Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC) is going across the country to present the newly minted Labour Market Information (LMI) study of the Canadian cultural workforce. The report takes stock of the current situation for all cultural workers, businesses and organizations which leads to recommendations to strengthen and further grow the sector.
The LMI is funded by Employment and Social Development Canada. The research was conducted by the Conference Board of Canada.
The Alberta session will be hosted by the Edmonton Arts Council on September 17 at 2PM in the Lestock Room, Prince of Wales Armouries, 10440 108 Ave NW, Edmonton. The meetings will be roughly an hour long with the last 20-30 minutes focusing on local use of the LMI report, Domain and Regional brochures.
