What’s On (Calgary): The Stand Up – Prairie Kitten Productions

From play to film and back again The Stand Up is a story about love, wacky characters and vulnerability. Join us here in Calgary before we hit the road for Kelowna Fringe Festival.

Synopsis: After Liam gets stood up by his date, he and his reluctant barista, Emma, go on a wild adventure trying to find the girl, and maybe true love. Their journey leads them to frat parties, ex-boyfriends’ apartments, kombucha bars, and – most importantly – to a greater understanding of what love and vulnerability really means.

Prairie Kitten Productions will be presenting their upcoming Kelowna Fringe Show The Stand Up by Cayley Wreggitt for one night only here in Calgary.

About Prairie Kitten Productions:
At PKP, we believe in producing work that reflects the modern Albertan community. As young women emerging into the arts world, we discovered a lack of opportunity to exhibit the strength and quality of work written from the female perspective. PKP was founded to inspire not only ourselves, but the greater local community, to celebrate art by women. We also pride ourselves in acknowledging and embracing the growing diversity in our community. By developing significant and compelling roles for women of colour, we hope to further encourage inclusivity in the entertainment industry.
