FINAL AUDITIONS FOR THE WIZARD OF OZ

Final Auditions for the Broadway Musical, The Wizard of Oz – Sunday 15 September

Male & Female Singers and Actors (minimum age 15 years)

Teen and Adult Ballet Dancers (minimum age 12 years)

AUDITION DATE: Sunday 15 September

AUDITION LOCATION: Auditions will take place at the Ruth Carse Centre, 107 Avenue & 112 Street. Times available between 9 am – 12 noon

THEATRE: The Wizard of Oz will be presented at the Westbury Theatre, Edmonton in January 2020

REHEARSALS: Rehearsals take place at the Ruth Carse Centre, Friday evenings (between 6 & 9 pm) and Sundays (usually between 1 & 5 pm). A schedule will be provided based on specific casting. Not all cast members will be required to attend all rehearsals.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Teen/Adult Singers/Actors (minimum age 15) – Prepare a vocal solo from any Broadway Musical. Provide piano sheet music for our Musical Director. Present a monologue to highlight acting/characterization ability (maximum 1.5 minutes)

Teen/Adult Ballet Dancers (minimum age 12): – Prepare a ballet/lyrical solo (maximum 1.5 minutes). Provide own recorded music

PLEASE NOTE: There is no cost to audition. Selected cast members will be asked to provide a production fee to help cover costs associated with mounting the show. 

COSTUMING: Most costumes will be supplied by Broadway Bound. Personal items including shoes will be required to be supplied by the cast member.
