W.P. Puppet Theatre is currently accepting proposals from puppeteers whose work relates to our 2020 Conference Theme: Puppets Go Existential!
This conference on applied puppetry is scheduled to be held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada from May 27 – 31st, 2020.
Offering world-class professional development, the conference features award-winning local and international presenters and master puppeteers, sharing their stories and skills in an educational, engaging and fun environment through hands-on workshops, talks, panels, and special networking events.
As a metaphor for human experience the puppet provides a fun yet impactful way of exploring life’s big questions. Puppet Power 2020 will present puppeteers whose work relates to the existential considerations of our time: Climate Action, Artificial Intelligence, Culture & Identity, Hope & Human Agency.
This call is open to local, national, and international proposals. WP Puppet Theatre will pay for travel costs to Calgary, Accommodation, Per Diem, Presenter Fee and Conference Registration.
