Tickets are now on sale for the first ever Calgary Clown Festival!
This event is a rare opportunity to introduce Calgary to the not-so-serious art of clowning and challenge the perception of what clowning is, while showcasing the rich and talented community of artists. The festival will take place September 18-21 and will consist of a variety of different physical theatre performances including the world renowned Canadian clowning duo, Mump & Smoot. They will be returning to the Calgary stage with their first ever touring show “Something” in their first ever clown festival for two nights only! Along with Mump and Smoot are seven other acts that will be featured, along with a family day on Saturday for the kids, and late night cabarets for the adults!
Not only that — from September 9-15, there will be workshops for the curious and enthusiastic, along with intensive training sessions so that the the serious (but not so serious) professional entertainers can advance their careers and elevate the level of performance in Calgary.
