Audition Notice
New West Theatre, in Lethbridge requests actor submissions for their production of
THE LEGEND OF THE LOST TOOTH
Created and Directed by Nicola Elson
The Legend of the Lost Tooth is a new Theatre for Young Audiences creation that will be running at New West Theatre in December 2019 and touring elementary schools in southern Alberta in January 2020. A new creation, much of the show will be devised by the performers and director in the rehearsal process based on the director’s existing narrative structure.
Auditions will be held in the following cities:
Lethbridge – July 4, 2019
Calgary –July 17, 2019
Those selected for an audition will be asked to prepare the following:
- One monologue no longer than two minutes in length that showcases a physically dynamic character suitable for a young audience.
- A performance piece WITHOUT TEXT that is no longer than two minutes in length. We are looking for direct, word-free communication with the audience (no fourth wall). If you have access to and would like to use mask, a clown nose, puppetry, etc., please do, but it is not essential.
Past experience working in Physical Theatre, Mask and/ or Puppetry is considered an asset.
