ABOUT HACK

August Bertie and Foster Billson, two playwrights fresh off their breakthrough sensation, have made the egregious choice of spending two weeks together alone in a cabin, writing their next triumph. As first time successes, the men are desperate to avoid the dreaded “sophomore slump” and decide to follow up their crime epic with a jolting tale of horror. Believing the cabin to be haunted or otherwise possessed, the two men begin to formulate their next play using the spooky surroundings as “inspiration.” However, this inspiration hits hard and fast when the characters that August and Foster write down on paper and on their trusty laptop begin showing up at the cabin, one by one, and interacting with the men. Is this their creative muse arriving to help them shape their next work into a masterpiece, or is something sinister going on underneath the unassuming cabin that sits in the middle of the dark woods?
