Audition (Edmonton): My Father’s Son – Edmonton 2019 Fringe Festival

We are looking for actors for Untitled Production’s My Father’s Son which will appear in Edmonton’s International Fringe Festival!

David’s therapist suggests an experimental technique to dive deep into his psyche and determine the source of his deep-seated trauma. My Father’s Son follows David through his past in an attempt at understanding his own choices, why he made them and how he has pushed away the people who truly cared for him. The play looks at addiction, mental illness, and the affect support systems have in people’s lives in a meaningful and honest way.

David– A man who has a mysterious past, struggling with his decisions and his ruined relationships.
Father– A part of David’s mind, the bitter and caustic reminder of what David could become.
Liza– Bubbly, caring and independent. The play follows her from their first meeting to the current, ruined version of their relationship.
Boy– He is the version of David that is more innocent and naïve but we see his spiral into current David.
Murphy– The psychiatrist who was assigned to David. Friendly and uncompromising.
Casting is open to all ages, races, ethnicities, and genders.
