General Auditions: Central Alberta Theatre
Dinner Theatre Productions 2019-2020
We will be holding General Auditions for our upcoming dinner theatre season on the evenings of June 25, 26 and 27 at CAT Studios in Red Deer, Alberta.
Actors will sign up for a 20-minute audition spot.
- Please prepare a one- to two-minute monologue
- Audition will also include cold reads
Prior to the auditions, actors will receive:
- Casting Breakdowns of the Roles Offered
- Director Vision Statements

To help actors prepare, CAT is offering a two-part, sign-up auditioning workshop in early June. It will cover choosing and preparing an audition piece, how to make an audition work for you, and will offer practice with feedback. It will be designed and led by CAT member and recent Red Deer College theatre arts instructor Tanya Ryga. Keep an eye on CAT’s website and social media for more information about this workshop!
