Alberta Musical Theatre Company (formerly known as Alberta Opera) is seeking non-equity musical theatre ACTORS and MUSICIANS for next season’s touring production of Sleeping Beauty .

Auditions:
May 1st and 2nd, 2019, at The Playhouse (10033 80 Ave)

Rehearsals Begin:
August 29, 2019

Public Performances:
September 20th, 2019 – September 29th, 2019

Tour Begins:
October 7th, 2019

Tour Concludes:
June, 2020

TO BOOK AN AUDITION:
To book an audition time, please submit your resume and headshot to General Manager, Mackenzie Reurink, at bookings@albertamusicaltheatre.ca. Please ensure your contact information is included in your submission. Please note, audition times are limited and not everyone may be seen. You will be contacted if you are selected for an audition time. We request that actors selected for an audition prepare one full musical theatre ballad under four minutes, as well as a comedic monologue. We may ask performers to read or sing an excerpt from the musical. An accompanist will be provided. Musician are asked to bring a musical theatre piece that showcases the extent of their skill-set.

In 2019/2020, Alberta Musical Theatre Company (formerly “Alberta Opera”) will celebrate its 36th season of touring original musical theatre adaptations to elementary schools around the province. Accustomed to playing for more than 80,000 students in a single season, AMTC has become an essential cultural experience in schools province-wide.
