Empress of Blandings is holding auditions for our 2019 Fringe show: Andrew Erskine’s madcap, gender-bending farce, She’s Not Him and He’s Not Her!
Sophia is preparing to marry Frankly, the love of her life–but she’s not so sure he loves her as much as he says he does. Should she sit down with him for an honest, heartfelt conversation about his feelings? Or should she concoct an elaborate, zany scheme, which will result in trickery and subterfuge, sword fights, innuendo, and a lot of cross-dressing? (Spoiler: it’s the latter.) First written in 1764, She’s Not Him and He’s Not Her will have its Canadian debut (we’re pretty sure) at the Edmonton Fringe, and we want YOU to be a part of it!
Auditions will be held in Studio at the Transalta Arts Barns from 7-9pm on Wednesday, April 24; Thursday, April 25; and Sunday, April 28. You can sign up for an audition spot on the google doc below:

Please prepare a short comic monologue in advance. (If the monologue dates from the nineteenth century or earlier, that would be terrific, but it’s not mandatory.)
