Looking for an actor that presents as 14 or 15 years old. Rowan, a bright, assertive mid-teen enters an essay competition she KNOWS she will win by writing about her great-grandfather, Jim, who died heroically in 1944 throwing himself on a grenade to save his comrades. Winning the competition lets Rowan take her grandmother Jamie, the soldier’s daughter, to France to finally visit Jim’s grave. But Rowan also hopes it may result in her great-grandfather getting a long after the fact posthumous Victoria Cross for his sacrifice. At the cemetery she meets a veteran of the war, Andrew, and from him learns about the reality of armed conflict and her ancestor’s death.
This is a major dramatic role which will require memorization of considerable dialogue in an 80 – 90 minute play.

All applicants will receive a response. Applicants selected for audition will be advised of audition format, requirements, timings, and location. Candidates selected to play roles:
- will be available for regular rehearsals from May through to the commencement of performances in August.
- will appear in a preview performance the weekend before the Fringe and at all scheduled performances during the Fringe.
- will not perform or be otherwise involved in the production of any other show at the 2019 Edmonton Fringe.
