Western Canada Theatre (Kamloops, BC) will be holding General Auditions in Calgary on Saturday, March 16th and Sunday, March 17th for their upcoming season. Artistic Director James MacDonald will be in attendance.
Artists are invited to apply for an audition time by sending an electronic copy of their resume and headshot to auditions@wctlive.ca (please include ‘General Auditions – Calgary’ in the subject line). Please indicate your Canadian Actors’ Equity Association status in your submission and any time restrictions you may have during the two audition days.
Submission deadline is Tuesday, March 12th at 5 pm PST.
Artists will be asked to prepare two pieces; either two contrasting monologues (one classical, one contemporary) or one contemporary monologue and one song, sung acapella. Each piece should be no longer than 3 minutes in duration.
WCT encourages submissions from diverse artists of all backgrounds, regardless of race, colour, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
WCT will contact individuals selected for auditions. Please note that video submissions will not be accepted.
WCT will be announcing their 2019-2020 season on March 13, 2019.
