Theatre Alberta is thrilled to announce that students attending Artstrek 2019 will be studying the contemporary musical phenomenon Les Misérables. Set in post-revolution France, this epic tale explores themes of justice, sacrifice, compassion, and redemption. With powerful music and unforgettable songs like Do You Hear The People Sing? and I Dreamed A Dream, Les Misérables is one of the most iconic and celebrated musicals in modern theatre history.
Les Misérables was written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg with lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. Les Misérables School Edition is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
