Announcement (Alberta): Introducing the 2019 Artstrek Play-of-Study

Theatre Alberta is thrilled to announce that students attending Artstrek 2019 will be studying the contemporary musical phenomenon Les Misérables. Set in post-revolution France, this epic tale explores themes of justice, sacrifice, compassion, and redemption. With powerful music and unforgettable songs like Do You Hear The People Sing? and I Dreamed A Dream, Les Misérables is one of the most iconic and celebrated musicals in modern theatre history.

Les Misérables was written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg with lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. Les Misérables School Edition is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

Registration for Artstrek 2019 will open on April 1. For more information as it becomes available and to watch the seconds count down until registration opens visit our Artstrek landing page!
