Introduction to the Director’s Process with Val Planche

Are you a director that wants to deepen your craft? Or an actor who has been dreaming of taking the leap into the role of director? Join Valerie Planche as she leads a workshop for beginners, practicing and experienced directors that will explore the nuts and bolts of what goes into the storytelling process. From idea to production; what is required to create a dynamic story for the stage!

WHEN: March 17, 2019 (10:00 am – 5:00 PM)

COST: $60 (registration online, by phone or email)

WHERE: Morpheus Rehearsal Centre (3512 5 Avenue NW, Lower Level)

Refreshments will be served from 10:30 – 11:00 am so feel to come early and settle in.

Instructor’s Bio: Valerie Planche

Valerie is an award-winning, 30-year veteran actor, director and a teacher. She has appeared on Stage and in TV and Film. She has also performed across Canada with Theatre Calgary, Alberta Theatre Projects, The Citadel Theatre, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Alberta Theatre Projects, Vertigo Theatre, Lunchbox Theatre, Shadow Theatre, Sage Theatre, Theatre Junction, Mob Hit Theatre, Urban Curvz Theatre (now Handsome Alice), Theatre by the Bay, Quest Theatre, Theater Plus, Canadian Stage, Vancouver Playhouse, Fishnet Theatre and Theatre in Exile and in the US for The American Conservatory Theatre.
