AUDITION INFORMATION
Downstage is holding auditions on Tuesday, December 18, for our Work-In-Progress Presentation of The Temporary directed by Mieko Ouchi. Rehearsals and performances will be located in Brooks and Calgary from June 25 to July 21, 2019. Audition submissions will be accepted until December 12, 2018.
The Temporary is a docudrama by Col Cseke exploring the lives of Temporary Foreign Workers in Brooks Alberta, and what this small prairie city’s massive demographic change can tell us about Canada today.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Ronaldo and others – Male, New Canadian person of colour, 20s-40s
Linda and others – Female, White, long time Brooks resident, 40s+
Althea and others – Female, New Canadian person of colour, 20s-30s

APPLICATION PROCESS
Please submit your photo and resume in one document to info@downstage.ca. Include THE TEMPORARY and YOUR NAME in the subject heading. Identify in the body of the email if you are Equity or Non-Equity. All Equity Members will be seen first for this audition. Please list your availability on December 18, so that we can schedule accordingly. Sides from the play will be provided at the time that your audition is booked.
