Theatre Yes is proud to present VISCOSITY, a brand new installation that is part exhibition, part journalism and part performance.
VISCOSITY sheds light on the lives of Alberta oil workers across a variety of ages, genders, sexualities, cultures, and perspectives. Created from transcriptions of interviews with Alberta’s oil industry, VISCOSITY challenges what we think we know about the people who work in big oil. This innovative performance installation brings all Albertans together in conversation about life inside and outside the patch.
Theatre Yes (National Elevator Project, ANXIETY) is an award-winning, boutique theatre company that responds to up-to-the-minute local, national, and international cultural conversations with events that invite audiences to be a part of adventures they won’t forget.
VISCOSITY plays at the Backstage Theatre @ Fringe Theatre Adventures (10330 84 Avenue) from November 7 to 17, 2018.
Audience members may come anytime during performance times and stay as long as they wish.
Tickets are $20 on sale at TIX on the Square (9930-102 Avenue, Sir Winston Churchill Square, by phone 780.420.1757, online at tixonthesquare.ca, and at the door.
