StoryBook Theatre is looking for Calgary leaders and builders to help shape and guide this Calgary institution into it’s next decade of creating and entertaining the next generation of theatre lovers.
Known throughout Canada as one of the leading theatres for young audiences, StoryBook has been entertaining and sharing programming all over Calgary and Alberta for the past 40 years, with award-winning, professional-quality theatre productions, and Theatre School programming. We are a leading institution in Calgary, which relies on the passion and dedication of believers in the future of theatre, and the young people and families we work hard to entertain.
We are looking for a broad range of volunteers to sit on our board and help shape the future of our organizations. We want to change the face of our board and move it from parents and volunteers who love the organization, to a well-rounded leadership of business and creative professionals who can support this Calgary institution.
The StoryBook board is responsible for the effective governance of the organization; driving the fund development; and oversight of the Artistic Producer, who takes care of the day-to-day operations of the organization.
As we approach our November Annual General Meeting, we are are looking for interested people to audit our upcoming board meetings, meet with our Artistic Producer or President, and see how you may fit into this inspiring and award winning organization. Strong areas of consideration for candidates would be finance, fundraising, and Strategic planning.
Are you ready to be a part of a this Calgary legacy?
All those interested are asked to send an email to our board president, Jolene Anderson at president@storybooktheatre.org.
