Theatre Encounter is seeking a stage manager with an interest in devised theatre for their upcoming presentations of KLIMT’S WOMEN: a new experimental performance creation that will be developed over 6 months, based on the lives and paintings of Gustav Klimt’s most famous models.
Working in collaboration with the Artistic Producer and Artistic Director, the stage manager will help facilitate the creation of this new work over two phases. The ideal candidate is available on a part-time schedule (evenings/weekends) from November 2018 to the end of March 2019. Performance dates for phase one of the project are November 24-Dec 1, 2018, and for phase two March 24-31, 2019. All rehearsals and presentations will take place at the cSpace King Edward in Marda Loop Calgary.
Both emerging and experienced stage managers are encouraged to apply. Training in Qlab will be provided as part of this contract, as well as an honorarium.
