Creative Process in Theatre
Instructor: Dave Horak

Where:
Athabasca Alberta

When:
October 5 &  6, 2018
Registration will be from 5:30-6:00 on Friday October 5 with the workshop running form 6-9. Saturday October 6 will be from 10-3.

What:
On Friday evening we will begin with an introduction to the process of character development. More fun with the creative process will continue on Saturday. At the heart of all endeavours is brainstorming and gathering of ideas. Creative process exercises will help develop different ways of looking at things and with working with people. Prepare for some creative process exercises to help loosen up, talk about ideas and what directors want to see. Discover how to create the inner life of the character. If you have some script examples bring them too. Listening and being onstage DOING NOTHING is sometimes awkward. What does it take to stay in character or in process when there is nothing really for you to do? Creative Process helps to discover your character’s reactions for those moments.
