We are seeking a Full Time Senior Lighting Technician to join our team. Orange Frog Productions Inc. provides lighting design and lighting implementation to corporate and private events, festivals, concerts and weddings.

We are looking for a lighting technician with working knowledge of the lighting industry.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that lighting equipment is set up properly and consistent with the lighting design
• Set up and dismantle lighting equipment
• Assume the role of crew chief and act as team lead for local crew
• Operate the lighting console
• On site client management
• Act as safety officer on site for Orange Frog
• Have a working knowledge of rigging infrastructure
• Have a working knowledge of Moving light and Grand MA lighting console
• Adhere to standards and regulations pertaining to the safety of lighting equipment, and comply with safe working methods
• Have knowledge of moving light troubleshooting on site
• Flexible schedule
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a lighting technician
• Experience with maintenance and repair of both conventional lights and moving lights
• Personal management experience an asset
• Flexibility, autonomy, team player
• Ability to handle contingency and work well under pressure
• Fluent in spoken and written English is essential
• Other duties may include: operating a fork lift, truck driving and rigging of points
