CHRISTMAS LETTERS by Adam Schnell
When Muriel, an offbeat angelic stenographer finally gets her first probationary field assignment, she couldn’t be more thrilled. But completing her mission proves more challenging then she thought! Intercepted on the way to his father’s funeral, Todd, her earthly charge, refuses to read the letter she has for him. With time running out, Muriel’s unconventional training and eager innocence propel them through a series of unorthodox revelations that culminate in a big surprise for each of them.

CAST OF CHARACTERS
MURIEL (F)
A quirky, administrative angel who’s earthly-naïve and recently been given her first field assignment on earth. She’s more than 5000 years old, but very energetic and young at heart. Singer.
TODD (M)
A sceptic who’s on his way bury his estranged Dad. Muriel’s assignment.
SHEA (F)
Todd’s wife. Kind, supportive, but firm.
MEL (M)
Inspired to action by wonder, hope and faith. Believes easily. A Wiseman.
CASS (M)
A realist, more cautious to believe and act. A Wiseman.
THAZ (M)
Speaks in riddles. The deciding voice when the other two disagree. A Wiseman.
GABRIELLE (F)
A no nonsense angel. Highly educated and experienced in earthly field work. She is only slightly older than Muriel and Assistant to Gabriel, Angelic Field Operations Commander.
MARY (F)
Chosen by God as Jesus’ mother. Has recently revealed the news of her pregnancy to Joseph.
JOSEPH (M)
Mary’s fiancé. Has recently come to terms with Mary’s news.
