Broadway Bound Performing Arts is holding open auditions for solo and ensemble male and female youth (minimum 8 years of age), teens, and adults (of all ages) for their upcoming Broadway musical revue In The Spotlight. Singers, dancers, and actors will be selected as cast members for segments of Broadway Musicals including Newsies, Carousel, Mamma Mia, South Pacific, Chicago, Beauty & the Beast, Annie Get your Gun, and more.
Open auditions will take place at the Ruth Carse Centre, 112 Street & 107 Avenue.
Friday 7 Sept 6 – 9 pm and Sunday 9 Sept 1 – 5 pm.
Show dates: January 3, 4, 5, 2019 at The Westbury Theatre, Edmonton.
There may be additional show dates.
Rehearsals Fridays 6 – 9 pm & Sundays 1 – 5 pm (commencing Friday 14 September 6 – 9 pm).
Schedules will be posted and not all cast members will be required to attend all rehearsals.
Selected cast members are required to pay a non-refundable production fee of $150 to assist with the total costs ($18,000 – $20,000) of mounting the show.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Singers – prepare a vocal solo (preferably from a Broadway musical), and bring piano sheet music for the Musical Director (accompanist)
Dancers – prepare a dance of any genre
Actors – prepare a short monologue
Triple Threats – prepare a song and dance with appropriate characterization
Please note that all cast members will be required to sing in some ensemble segments.
