SUMMARY

StoryBook Theatre is accepting applications for a Technical Assistant for our 2018 Student Summer Intensive Program – Into the Woods. Responsible for assisting the production team during rehearsals, the Technical Assistant is also responsible for assisting in the hanging, rigging, patching, testing, focusing, and programming required for lighting, sound, AV, other event/production needs, assisting the Director, Lighting Designer, Sound Designer, and Stage Manager during tech week, as well as supervising the SSIP student tech team during the run of the show.

StoryBook Theatre is a team-oriented environment. Personnel may be asked to take on additional responsibilities that may be outside the core responsibilities of this position.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current post-secondary student
  • Training in Technical Theatre
  • Interest in Lighting and Sound Design
  • Working knowledge of:
    o ETC ion
    o Qlab
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
  • Experience working on Mac computers an asset
  • Must submit to a criminal background check
  • Must be returning to a post-secondary institution Fall of 2018
