Alberta Playwrights’ Network: YOUth Riot Performance Showcase

Over past 3 months, Alberta Playwrights’ Network has facilitated a space for industry professionals and guest artists to work with LGBTQ+ youth by helping them tell their stories through the medium of playwriting and theatrical storytelling.
The program is designed to ignite creativity in teens, and most importantly, provides valuable tools to foster confidence, acceptance, and positive self-image.
And now…we are ready to SHOW YOU OUR VOICE! This event is the culmination of their work! It’s a time to celebrate, a time to inspire, and a time to break the status quo.
Come to Lunchbox Theatre on Monday, May 14th, at 7:30pm, to see what these talented young playwrights have been creating.
Admission is by donation at the door (recommended donation: $15) with all proceeds supporting the future of YOUth Riot at Alberta Playwrights’ Network! We will be accepting cash or credit.
Professional actors and directors from the Calgary Theatre community will help to craft and perform the pieces of the participants! YOUth Riot Showcase will feature the immense talents of:
