Auditions are being held for the Fringe 2018 production of A Golden Girls Tribute: Sophia’s Book of Love.
Performance Dates: Fringe run (August 16-26, 2018)
Rehearsals Begin: Week of June 11, twice a week (specific days to be confirmed)
We are seeking actors to fill the following roles:
(Please note that all of these parts could be filled by people in the age range of 30 to 70. Makeup and accessories can and will be used to enhance appearance of age.)
Rose Nylund – Warm, bubbly, naïve with a childlike charm, mocked by her friends for being a nitwit. She is originally from Minnesota and speaks in loose Scandinavian on occasion.
Dorothy Zbornak – Smart, strong, moral centre of her social group, a tough but fair substitute teacher originally from Brooklyn. She has little luck in the romance department.
Stan Zbornak – Dorothy’s ex-husband, whom she considers a louse. Stan is an opportunistic novelty salesman, a bit of a con man, and always looking for a way to get rich quick.
Auditions will be held Saturday, May 5 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clareview Multicultural Centre meeting room, 3804 139 Ave NW. (The Centre is located inside the Clareview Rec Centre, next to the hockey rink.) More audition dates may be booked depending on response.
