INTERESTED IN ATTENDING A WORKSHOP ABOUT THEATRE LIGHTING?
Okotoks has a state-of-the-art production facility with permanently installed, DMX Controlled LED Lighting. With a mix of Whites, RGBs, and ‘Movers’, the artistic possibilities are extensive. Participants taking the workshop will learn the technical workflow for lighting design; will gain knowledge on the importance of theatre lights and how to create the various moods and dramatic effects through proper light usage, and the skills and verbiage required for technical and artistic folks to communicate effectively to provide the best lighting solutions for your production. Technical staff, directors, stage managers, actors and anyone else with interest is encouraged to attend.
Instructor: Trevor McDonald has been working in the entertainment industry for 20 plus years. With a back ground ranging from theatre production, worship, corporate event, concert, festival and touring. Trevor has also worked in the product sales, installation and project management portions of the industry. Currently he can be found as the Technical Supervisor, Drama for the School of Creative and Performing Arts at University of Calgary.
