The City of Fort Saskatchewan is seeking a creative and enthusiastic DCC Event Supervisor to join our team. Under the direction of the Shell Theatre Supervisor, the Event Supervisor will coordinate the arrangements for delivery of events or functions at the Dow Centennial Centre. This portfolio will focus on event ticketing setup and delivery and the highest quality customer service to all ticketing patrons and clients. The coordination of our Shell Theatre volunteers will be an essential part of this position. As required, as part of the Community & Protective Services team, the DCC Event Supervisor will provide mentorship to bookings clerks in regards to City owned facilities.
This position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma with some post-secondary education in a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with event ticketing experience, volunteer coordination, or a certificate or diploma in Special Events Coordination or a related field. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in event management, communications and volunteer leadership along with a good general knowledge of performing and visual arts in a theatre setting is required.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills are essential to the position to help maintain a respectful and positive image when dealing with the public and volunteers. The successful candidate will be highly organized, have a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
