The Canadian Badlands Passion Play is accepting submissions for the roles of:

JESUS UNDERSTUDY (18-35): The rightful heir to the created world arrives on earth to find his creation does not recognize him. As he seeks to restore an ancient kingdom, he must confront the cultural power sources of his time and the age-old human condition.

SIMON PETER UNDERSTUDY (late 20’s to late 40’s): The quintessential everyman who isn’t afraid to speak his mind or get his hands dirty, Simon Peter struggles to find God in his day-to-day material existence. Juggling his family, a struggling fishing business, and the existential angst of being a minority religion in an oppressed land, Simon Peter seeks answers by following the lead of a mysterious rabbi.

Auditions will consist of a scene selected by the company, which will be sent to successful applicants once submissions are reviewed.

Auditions will take place on Saturday, Feb. 17 and Sunday, Feb. 18 at Evergreen Community Spaces in Calgary, Alberta.

Interested actors should email résumés, headshots and any questions to volunteer.manager@canadianpassionplay.com, with the subject line, “2018 Audition Request”. Successful Applicants will be contacted within 2 to 3 workdays after submission is received.
