The former Artistic Director of the Freewill Shakespeare Festival, Geoffrey Brumlik, has been appointed to lead the International MA in Acting course at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England and he will be back in Canada (Vancouver & Toronto) briefly in February to audition candidates for this prestigious course.
Geoffrey’s original training was as an actor in the University of Alberta’s B.FA. Acting program, subsequently performing at a range of Canadian theatres including the Stratford Festival, The Citadel Theatre and The Globe Theatre in Regina. Geoffrey spent more than a decade as Artistic Associate and Associate Director at the Citadel Theatre. Prior to that, he spent three seasons as the River City Shakespeare Festival’s Artistic Director.
The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School is a world renowned in the field of actor training with alumni including Sir Daniel Day Lewis, Sir Patrick Stewart, Naomie Harris, Miranda Richardson, Mark Strong, Olivia Colman (The Night Manager and The Crown) Laura Carmichael (Downton Abbey) and Theo James (Divergent and Golden Boy)

The MA ACTING International Program will be holding auditions for the program in Vancouver February 8- 10, as well as in Toronto Feb 13-15.
