Job: Permanent, Full-Time Position

Position: Production Electrician / Programmer, Lighting

Job Description / Duties:
- Ability to draw in Vectorworks and WYSIWYG software
- Create bill of material based on lighting design – including substitutions and sub-rentals required
- Calculate rigging weights based on lighting plot
- Create a cable layout and infrastructure needed to implement a lighting design
- Create a truck pack estimate
- Creating all paperwork required for implementation of design onsite
- Assist in shop prep of shows as needed
Qualifications/ Required Skills:
- Post Secondary degree in lighting, technical theatre or other relevant training
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position or as a Senior Technician in lighting within Theatre / Corporate Events / Touring
- Familiar with consoles – Grand MA , ETC, Avolite Pearl
- Computer skills required working in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) both in MAC and PC computers
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to solve issues, anticipate problems and find efficient solutions while respecting company’s operational policies and procedures
- Ability to carry out administrative tasks
- Open to working in a flexible schedule
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good leadership ability
- Ability to respect deadlines and tight schedules
Assets - Familiar with the inner working of Media Servers
- Familiar with pixel mapping concept
- Ability to drive a 5 ton truck
- Moving light repair skills
- Knowledge of basic electronics is a key asset
Salary: According to Experience
Relocation allowance will be considered for out of town / province applicants
