The Board of Directors of the Canadian Heritage Arts Society, a registered non-profit Canadian charitable organization, is searching for a Managing Director to lead the Canadian College of Performing Arts (CCPA). The College is a national, multi-disciplinary, post-secondary training program that values the development of versatile performing artists with a strong work ethic and commitment to cultural leadership. The college comprises 75 students in a 3-year comprehensive training program. Celebrating 20 years of operation, the College is located in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia.

As an inspiring team builder, the Managing Director will bring strong administrative skills, knowledge of educational institutions, as well as vision complemented by an in-depth understanding of the performing arts industry and the non-profit charitable sector, to the position of leader of CCPA, one of the top training centres for performing arts in Canada.

As head of the college, the Managing Director will work collaboratively with the Board of Directors, staff and faculty to create the strategic direction for the future. The Managing Director will be responsible for all aspects of the management of the college. They will bring strong financial management experience, organizational development, strategic thinking and entrepreneurial skills to the job.

A transformational leader, the Managing Director will inspire staff, faculty and students with passion, energy and vision. They will have proven success in building local, national & international relationships with related organizations, government officials and funding agencies and will actively engage with and develop a community of individual donors and corporate sponsors. This position also involves developing and implementing recruitment and fundraising strategies with staff; on-going interaction with students, faculty, artistic advisors and alumni; as well as some travel on business for this national institution.
