Common Ground Arts Society is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and appreciation of local artists. As the producers of Found Festival, Edmonton’s only found space arts festival, CGAS creates opportunities for artists of all disciplines by bringing distinct audience experiences to the Edmonton community. We bring the arts out of galleries and concert halls and into the community. June 2017 marked our 6th annual Found Festival, presenting artists from across Canada in a wide variety of genres, including theatre, poetry, dance, storytelling, and live music.
CGAS’s Board of Directors is a vibrant team who work in tandem with Common Ground Arts Society through governance, policy, and fundraising. Board Members attend a monthly board meeting and contribute to the support of Common Ground Arts Society’s Found Festival and other yearly events.
Previous board experience is an asset, but not necessary. Common Ground Arts Society is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive board with directors varying in age, abilities, gender, or ethno-cultural identity.
