Each month, Mile Zero Dance’s Dirt Buffet Cabaret will be curated and hosted by an Edmonton-based artist. Our November edition will be curated and hosted by Brooke Leifso on Thursday, November 9.
Brooke Leifso is a multi-disciplinary theatre practitioner, with dual focus on devised performance facilitation and Expressive Art informed community art. She identifies as an activist with values in anti-oppression, and a woman with living with disability. All these layers of identity, experience and skill find their way into her creations. Brooke is an Associate Producer with the Edmonton-based integrated dance company, CRIPSiE and a co-facilitator for the Robertson-Wesley Spirited Arts Movement. She is also completing her Masters in Expressive Arts Therapy-Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding through the European Graduate School, looking at how art creation can build community, resilience and social cohesion.
