Audition (Edmonton): Student Commemorative Project of the Garneau Theatre

Triple-Threat Theatre is seeking actors for a student commemoration project for the Garneau Theatre. The project will require approximately 20-25 actors of all ages, genders, and ethnicities. There will be both Character Roles and background roles. The project intends to recreate the opening of the theatre on October 24th, 1940. The event will take place the morning of November 11th from 10 am-noon.

The Character Roles include:

Bill Wilson: (Male, Age 30-40): The owner/ creator of both the Garneau Theatre and the Roxy
Theatre.

Mrs. Wilson: (Female, Age 30-40): Bill’s Wife.

William Blakey: (Male, Age 55-65): The Architect of the Building. Is Responsible for the Art Deco
look of the building.

Ushers: (1-2 Actors: Any age, gender, ethnicity)

Journalist: (Male: Age 20+)

There will also be 15-20 background roles of civilians going to the opening of the Theatre.
