Uniform Theatre and Scona Alumni Theatre Co. are seeking four female actors for their upcoming production of LIZZIE. Directed and choreographed by Linette Smith, and Musical Directed by Mackenzie Reurink.

The show will run from November 29-December 2 at Strathcona High School. Rehearsals will take place on evenings and weekends, and a schedule will be prepared based on availability following casting.

Auditions take place on October 15 in the afternoon, and October 16 in the evening at Strathcona High School. Callbacks will take place on the evening of October 17.

Please prepare one pop/rock/musical theatre song. Please bring sheet music in the correct key, as an accompanist will be provided. No a capella auditions or accompaniment tracks, please.

LIZZIE is a four woman rock opera that tells the story of Lizzie Borden. On a sweltering summer morning in 1892, in a small New England city, a prominent businessman and his wife were brutally axed to death in their home. Their daughter Lizzie Borden was the prime suspect. Lizzie’s trial was a coast-to-coast media sensation, and her story has become an American legend. LIZZIE – high belt: F#3-F#5 (belt to A5 if poss.)
ALICE – high mezzo lyric/mix/belt: G3 (w/F#3 pick-up/ghost-notes in one number) – A5 (legit soprano)
EMMA – alto/mezzo belt: F#3-D5
BRIDGET – contralto/low alto: F3 (w/E3 pick-up/ghost-notes in one number) – Eb5 (E5 opt. in one ad lib.)
