Industry Series Launch for Members of the Edmonton Theatre Community
With the goals of supporting, listening and responding to the evolving needs of our theatre and shared community, The Citadel Theatre in collaboration with Alberta Aboriginal Arts, Alberta Workers’ Health Centre, Azimuth Theatre, and The Maggie Tree would like to invite you to attend our event:
THE EXCHANGE: Diversity and Inclusion in the Arts
Monday, October 2, 2017 in THE CLUB at the Citadel (9828 101 A Avenue)
Our guest speaker for THE EXCHANGE is Jovanni Sy, Artistic Director of Richmond’s Gateway Theatre. We will also have a panel of six Edmonton professional theatre practitioners: Marian Brant, Hunter Cardinal, Chris Dodd, Julie Ferguson, Christine Frederick, and Mieko Ouchi, each of whom will share their voice and perspective on the different points in their careers and unique positions on diversity. Gina Puntil will graciously facilitate the panel dialogue & discussion. At the end of the evening we will open up the conversation to the audience for continued dialogue and discussion.
6:30PM Doors open and bar service begins.
7:00PM Welcome to and recognition of territory, and prayer

Citadel Theatre’s wheelchair accessible entrances are on the south side of building (off Shoctor Alley), and on the corner of 99 St and 102 Ave. The Club is located on the bottom floor of Citadel Theatre, and is accessible by stairs and elevator. Washrooms are wheelchair accessible. ASL Interpretation provided.
