Theatre Disponibilité is now accepting enrollments for the following Acting Classes. Classes run for three hours a week for a period of eight weeks in Sunalta, Calgary. The studio is within easy walking distance of the Sunalta C-train station, free street parking is also available. Minimum age requirement is 18 years old. All Classes commence September 23.
Psychophysical Approaches to the Shakespearean Monologue
Using the techniques of Linklater, Le Coq and Chekhov, actors will re-awaken their vocal, physical and emotional impulses to imagery. By re-experiencing language as a sensual and visceral experience, the latent emotional energy be will released from the text. Unexpected and spontaneous interpretations will emerge.
Schedule: Saturdays 3PM – 6PM
Prerequisite: previous experience in voice and acting.

Introduction to Meisner Technique
This introductory course builds in sequential steps to train the actor to live and respond truthfully moment-to-moment to the behaviour of his fellow actors. Through the word repetition exercises we learn to listen deeply and follow our impulses. Through our imagination, we learn to increase the stakes, heighten objectives and create truthful relationships with our scene partner.

Introduction to Michael chekhov Technique
This class is designed to give actors an introduction to the Michael Chekhov Technique. Using creative play and physical exploration we will examine a range of tools and exercises designed to awaken our physical, sensorial, spatial and psychological awareness. By increasing our capacity to experience the imagination viscerally we will discover how to strengthen presence and sustain the inner life of our characters.
