Job (Cochrane): Theatre School Teacher – StoryBook Theatre

StoryBook Theatre is currently seeking a teacher for our Theatre School Programming in Cochrane, AB. We are looking for an experienced drama teacher to instruct children ages 6-12 in our ten-week program where students will explore their creativity and imagination. Areas of concentration will be: warm-ups, voice, music, movement, storytelling, technical theatre and collaboration.

FALL SESSION

ACT UP! Ages 6 to 12 – Saturdays 1:30PM to 3:30PM
September 23 to December 2
No classes October 7th

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Drama and/or Education or equivalent professional experience
Previous teaching or directing experience
Strong classroom management skills
High level of personal organization and planning
Strong interpersonal skills
Must work well in a team setting
Knowledge of technical theatre is an asset
Basic First Aid is an asset
Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check
