Monday Fight Night Featuring Aaron Conrad

About the Instructor:

Aaron Conrad is a Calgary based professional actor, director and choreographer, the former Artistic Director of Scorpio Theatre, and current proprietor of Chronicles pub. With over 10 years of choreography experience he brings a unique blend of traditional and modern stage combat techniques with a consideration for character based narrative in combat ensuring that characters fight the way they ought to fight.

Specific Subject Matter:

Acting in Stage Combat. Aaron Conrad will be teaching hand to hand / improvised weapons, but focusing on how to build a fight that has narrative value instead of just action. How to incorporate specific character traits, environmental factors etc into the choreo to ensure the fight moves the narrative and isn’t just tacked on to it.

Reminder that you will require INDOOR shoes so that we can keep the floor nice and clean!
